Matt Olson Wears Golden Sombrero Friday
4 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson had a rough night at the plate Friday going 0-for-5 with four strikeouts. Let's just call this an off-night for the lefty-slugger, as Olson has been crushing the ball to this point in the season. He already has four homers and 10 RBI and the statcast data suggests there is more to come. Olson has an absurd 60 percent hard-hit rate and his 95 MPH average exit velocity is in the top-two percent of the league. He is also getting on base at a .364 rate thanks to a 23 percent walk rate thus far. Don't be fooled by his .170 batting average. Olson is locked-in to start the season and his average will climb as his .154 BABIP normalizes. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
