Matt Olson Undergoes Hand Surgery
6 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson suffered an injury to his right hand after fouling a ball off of it in Thursday's game in Japan. He had to undergo surgery on his hamate and will be out an extended period of time. The A's haven't specified an exact timetable for his return yet, but these injuries usually take a minimum of 4-6 weeks of recovery time. It's a disappointing start to the season for Olson and his fantasy owners after he played in all 162 games a season ago. Hopefully, the injury heals properly and doesn't hold an effect on his power game when he returns to the lineup.
