Matt Olson Smacks 40th Home Run In Braves Loss
1 year agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson cracked his 40th home run of the season, losing to the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-5 Thursday. Olson is now tied with Shohei Ohtani for the league lead in home runs. He has surpassed his career high of 39 in 2021. The most homers a Braves player has hit in a season was in 2005 when Andruw Jones smacked 51. At 29 years old, Olson is having another fantastic season hitting .267/.375/.979 with 101 RBI in 427 at-bats.
