Matt Olson Slugs 29th Homer On Friday
3 years agoOakland A's first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with a homer and two walks during an 8-6 loss to the Texas Rangers on Friday night. The 27-year-old took Rangers relief pitcher Josh Sborz deep for his 29th homer of the season during the seventh inning. The 2021 All-Star also has 77 RBI, 74 runs scored, and three stolen bases with a .283/.378/.571 line across 399 at-bats. Olson is also on pace to establish career-highs in HR, RBI, and runs this year, adding to his stellar campaign. The slugger is entering his prime and is trending towards being a perennial top-25 player.
