1 year agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with an RBI double, a run scored, a walk, and a strikeout in a 3-2 win over the Seattle Mariners. Olson opened up the scoring on Sunday with an RBI double off George Kirby to score Ronald Acuna Jr. in the bottom of the first inning. He would later reach base with a walk and come around to score off an Eddie Rosario single in the third inning. Going back to his days in Oakland, the 29-year-old first baseman has always had his way with the Mariners. This weekend series was no different as he collected five hits, homered twice, and drove in five runs over the three games. On the season, Olson is slashing .244/.375/.541 with 13 long balls and 35 RBI across 172 at-bats.
