6 years agoWashington Capitals defenseman Matt Niskanen scored the overtime winner to down the New York Rangers 4-3 on Wednesday night. It was the first goal of the season for the 31-year-old rearguard. Niskanen has some value in banger leagues as he has put up 12 hits and eight blocks through six games. With that in mind, his offensive production has started to dip as he has not hit the 40-point mark since 2013-14.
