Matt Nagy Likes Taylor Gabriel
6 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy is excited about all the ways he can use speedy wide receiver Taylor Gabriel in the offense this year. Nagy said Gabriel has been "everything we thought" since they signed him to a four-year deal in March. “He’s working through some adjustments within the play on what he does against a certain coverage,” Nagy said. “But the biggest thing for him is he’s a speedy guy, and he knows how we’re going to use him and some of the things we want to do. And he’s done a great job.” Gabriel will have his opportunities as a home run hitter and should be more productive than he was last year as Nagy uses his speed to create mismatches. However, he won't see regular targets on a weekly basis and is more useful as a flex option in standard-scoring formats.
