Matt Moore Officially Agrees With Angels
2 years agoFree-agent left-hander Matt Moore officially agreed to a one-year, $7.5 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. Moore could immediately become an option for saves for the Angels, alongside Carlos Estevez, Jimmy Herget and Ryan Tepera. A starter for the majority of his career, the 33-year-old veteran southpaw pitched exclusively in relief for the Texas Rangers and was fantastic with a 1.95 ERA (2.98 FIP), 1.18 WHIP, five saves and 83 strikeouts in 74 relief innings pitched. Estevez is still the likely favorite for the majority of save chances for the Halos, at least in the beginning of the season, but Moore is worth a flier in AL-only leagues for those speculating on saves.
