2 years agoCincinnati Reds top infield prospect Matt McLain will be promoted on Monday, according to Jon Heyman. The shortstop is MLB Pipeline's No. 5 prospect for the Reds. McLain, 23, is slashing a robust .348/.474/.710 with 12 homers and 10 steals in 138 at-bats at Triple-A Louisville. The Reds will likely give him plenty of playing time since Jose Barrero has disappointed and they will want to see what they have in McLain. He has a nice power/speed combo that could play well in fantasy and should be added for his high upside in most leagues.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
