Matt Manning Will Not Require Surgery
2 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning (foot) will not require surgery for his fractured right pinkie toe. Manning and the Tigers came to that decision after consulting with several foot specialists. It's a good sign that the injury won't require surgery but there is currently no timetable for his return to the team. The 25-year-old hurler sustained the injury in his last start after he was hit by a comebacker off the bat of Alejandro Kirk. The team should provide another update next week.
