Matt Manning Trending Towards Missing His Next Start
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning (shoulder) appears likely to miss his next start, which is scheduled for Saturday against the Colorado Rockies. On Tuesday, Tigers manager A.J. Hinch stated that there was a "strong possibility" Manning would be skipped in the rotation his next time around as a precaution. It's unclear at this point who would start in his place. Michael Pineda is expected to make his Tigers debut soon, but that will most likely come on Thursday, filling in for another injured Tigers starter, Casey Mize (elbow). Manning has made two starts so far this year and the results have been promising as he's allowed six hits, no walks and two earned runs over eight innings.
