3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning (shoulder) threw a bullpen session at Comerica Park ahead of the team's doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday. This was his first bullpen session since landing on the injured list on Wednesday with right shoulder inflammation. The 24-year-old made two starts prior to landing on the injured list. He pitched a total of eight innings and allowed six hits, no walks and two earned runs while striking out four. It seems as if there's a good chance he will be able to return to the team and the starting rotation when first eligible.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
