Matt Manning Scheduled For A Second Rehab Start
1 year agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning (foot) will make his second rehab appearance on Friday with Triple-A Toledo, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. He only threw 1.2 innings in his first rehab start, but the club will likely begin to stretch him out. Manning went on the injured list in the middle of April after fracturing his right foot. Across two starts before the ailment, the former top prospect owned a 4.63 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 14.6% strikeout rate. Manning hasn't developed like the Tigers would've hoped, and he's irrelevant in most fantasy leagues.
