Matt LaFleur Impressed With A.J. Dillon
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that rookie running back A.J. Dillon "has got some massive legs." "We have not seen a running back built like that, not in my career that I've been around." Drafted in the second round at 62nd overall, Dillon stands at 6-foot, 247 pounds with tree trunks for legs. Obviously the Packers coaching staff like Dillon quite a bit to take him in the second round, but he may not have as big of a role as some may think initially after Aaron Jones' monstrous season in 2019. Jamaal Williams is also still in the picture in this backfield. It's hard to imagine Dillon stealing too many reps away from Jones on early downs, but he could vulture a few touchdowns at the goal line because of his lower-body strength. Dillon is more of an RB4/5 in redraft leagues in his rookie season.
