Matt Kemp Fine After Wall Collision
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp stayed in the game on Friday after going for a home run ball and banging into the fence. Because Kemp is one of the few hot hitters in a lineup that's been largely absent this season, he was moved up to bat third against the Diamondbacks and he went 1-for-5 with an RBI single. He's now batting .333 with an .885 OPS, one homer, three doubles and four RBI. That Kemp is even patrolling the outfield is a minor miracle. The Dodgers took back their former All-Star in a contract swap with the Braves in the offseason with the hope that they'd unload him to a team in the American League. He's a bit of a defensive liability, but as long as he's slapping hits, the Dodgers will take it. Fantasy owners are surely happy with Kemp's output and he's slowly becoming fully relevant in mixed leagues.
