Matt Fitzpatrick Looking For Consistency In Connecticut
9 months agoFor DFS managers, Matt Fitzpatrick has been a blood-pressure-raising pick for most of the season. After a solid T5 finish at a firm and fast Muirfield Village, expectations were high going into Pinehurst, but the Englishman barely squeaked by the cut line to shoot 79-69 over the weekend. His putter has not been cooperating lately, as Fitz has lost strokes on the greens in three of his last four events, which have unfortunately included two major championships. Couple that with his less-than-ideal ball-striking over that same span, and even the discounted price of $9,900 seems like a bit of a stretch, considering the volatility here.

Matt Fitzpatrick Tries To Get Putter Working At Torrey Pines
1 month agoMatt Fitzpatrick did not have the best opening round last week in Scottsdale. The English golfer's 72 led him to miss the cut at the WM Phoenix Open. Now, the Genesis Invitational was harsh to Fitzpatrick in 2024 as a starting 75 paved the way to a missed cut. With the scene shifting to Torrey Pines South Course, Fitzpatrick might have a little better luck. Then again, that is a bit of an unknown. What is known is Fitzpatrick is getting the ball on the green. Greens in regulation rank 11th early in 2025 at 76.11%. Putting has been an issue with the golfer averaging 31.33 putts per round early in 2025 for Round 1. The Round 4 average stands at 29.5. Getting settled in early will be vital for Fitzpatrick.

Matt Fitzpatrick Worth Considering At WM Phoenix Open
1 month agoMatt Fitzpatrick has competed in just two PGA events this year, with finishes of T48 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and T24 at The Sentry. He now looks ahead to the WM Phoenix Open, where he has played three times, with results of T15, T29, and T10. This course favors good drivers of the ball, and Fitzpatrick ranks 38th in strokes gained off the tee and 37th in driving accuracy. However, there is concern with Fitzpatrick's approach game, as he ranks in just the 58th percentile for approach shots from 150-200 yards, a distance that accounts for 42.6% of all approach shots at TPC Scottsdale. With solid course history and accurate driving on his side, Fitzpatrick is worth considering for fantasy managers at his price tag of $7,700 on DraftKings.

Matt Fitzpatrick An Intriguing Option For Pebble Beach
2 months agoMatt Fitzpatrick has two career wins on the PGA Tour. The English golfer played at The Sentry in January and finished inside the Top 25. Fitzpatrick has been a professional for over a decade now. He will be trying to erase the sting of last year's 76 at Pebble Beach. Fitzpatrick is around the middle when it comes to oddsmakers at +8000. He is typically one of the better putters around. Fitzpatrick ranked 23rd in strokes gained to putting in 2024 (0.417). In final rounds, Fitzpatrick ranked 15th in putts at 27.53. That will be especially vital at Pebble Beach. With calmer winds, the Englishman may surprise a few pundits this weekend.

Matt Fitzpatrick One To Watch In Maui
3 months agoWhen it comes to The Sentry, Matt Fitzpatrick could be a name to keep an eye on. The English golfer did not win a tournament in 2024. However, he has had some good results on the Plantation Course at Kapalua. A T-14th and a T-7th are solid at an event where birdies are on the menu. Last year, he was at 270. Keep in mind again, this is a Par-73 course that tops out at 7,569 yards. Fitzpatrick drives the ball just under 300 yards but putting metrics are right around the Top 20 across the board from 2024. Also, his 27.53 putts per final round ranks 15th. Fitzpatrick comes in 13th at 43.27% when it comes to one-putt percentage. He could be a good DFS pick as well for the weekend.
