Matt Duffy Scores Twice Saturday Versus Houston
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Matt Duffy continued his batting average prowess Saturday versus the Astros. He would go 3-for-4 and score twice in the 5-2 victory. Duffy is now batting .322 on the season. In his last healthy season in 2015, he batted .295 with 12 home runs and 12 stolen bases. Duffy's floor is fairly solid as long as he is healthy. Duffy was only 27 years old as the 2018 season started, so despite his slow start in the counting stats (runs, HR, RBI, steals), there is hope for a boost as the season goes on. He should be owned in deeper leagues, especially in AL-only formats.
