Matt Duffy Feeling Better, Likely Back In Lineup Saturday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Matt Duffy (hamstring) said Thursday in the early afternoon that he was feeling better. It seems he could have been available to pinch hit Thursday but was not needed. Before the game, it was sounding like he might not return to the lineup until Saturday. The injury to Adeiny Hechavarria (hamstring) during the game might affect the plans, so do not be shocked if Duffy comes back Friday. He is batting .322 with two home runs and 14 RBI. In his last healthy season in 2015, he batted .295 with 12 home runs and 12 stolen bases. Duffy's floor is fairly solid as long as he is healthy. Duffy just turned 27 years old as the 2018 season started and should be owned in deeper leagues, especially in AL-only formats.
