Matt Duffy Drives In Run April 3
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Matt Duffy went hitless Tuesday versus the New York Yankees. However, he still managed to drive in the first Tampa Bay run of the game. In the third inning, he put the ball into play and reached on a throwing error that brought in the first Rays run. Even after his 0-for-5, he is still hitting .286 on the season and has even stolen a base. The main negative of his season so far is the fact that he has not drawn a walk yet. In his last healthy season in 2015, he batted .295 with 12 home runs and 12 stolen bases. Duffy's floor is fairly solid as long as he stays healthy. Duffy just turned 27 years old as the 2018 season started and should be owned in deeper leagues, especially AL-only formats.
