Matt Duffy Done For The Season
6 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash said it's unlikely that third baseman Matt Duffy (quad) will play in Sunday's finale. He will finish the season with a .294/.361/.366 slash line, four home runs, and 12 stolen bases in 132 games. He had a chance to finish the season with the first .300 season since 2011 and sat at .300 at the end of September 20. He would finish the season 1-for-13 to end that chance. First baseman Ji-Man Choi (neck) is also expected to miss the Sunday finale. Choi is a strong source of power but little else.
