Matt DiBenedetto Might Surprise At Texas On Sunday
3 years agoMatt DiBenedetto had the speed and downforce to finish eighth last fall at Texas. He even led a couple of laps as the Wood Brothers Racing driver did well on the quad-oval course. DiBenedetto has finished on the lead lap three straight times at the 1.5-mile intermediate track. Stage intervals showed the No. 21 car quite favorably, and his car does not seem to have the issues that plague the Hendrick cars in particular. Also, DiBenedetto does not tail off as much late on these tracks. He starts 13th, which is right around where he has qualified the last three times at Texas. A top-15 result looks very likely for this weekend.
