6 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Matt Davidson and his hot bat will return to the lineup on Thursday, and they will need him against Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros. Over the last week, Davidson is batting .368 with seven hits in 19 at-bats. Joining him in the lineup is Omar Narvaez, who will catch after two days off. Leury Garcia will man center field over Adam Engel, who will sit. Facing Verlander, who is coming off two uncharacteristically off performances, is a daunting task for any team, but daily fantasy players might find value on the Sox. Take slugging first baseman Jose Abreu for instance, who has a .395 career batting average against the ace. History says Abreu is definitely a good play on Thursday, while bolder players might even consider seeing if Davidson’s hot streak continues.--Mauricio Castillo
