1 year agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman (finger) has been scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Chicago Cubs with right middle finger inflammation. It looks like the Jays are being extra cautious with the veteran third baseman as this doesn't sound overly serious. After a hot start to the season, Chapman has really slowed down over the last few months. His overall numbers are still solid, however, with a .255/.246/.449 with 15 home runs, 49 RBI, and three stolen bases over 423 at-bats.
