6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter (back) has been activated from the 10-day injured list. Carpenter missed eight games due to a lower back strain. Carpenter was nearly impossible to stop at the plate last season, but is hitting .216/.325/.381 with 10 home runs heading into the second half.
