4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Matt Bush (elbow) was placed on the injured list on Friday with elbow inflammation. The club activated pitcher Brett Martin from the injured list to take Bush's place on the 26-man roster. Bush, who did not pitch last season or in 2019, had a solid spring to earn a roster spot as a non-roster invitee. The 35-year-old has had a rough time during the regular season, though, and has allowed a solo home run in each of his three appearances in 2021. No timeframe has been provided for his return. Bush was expected to pitch some high-leverage innings for the Rangers with Jose Leclerc out for the year, but Ian Kennedy has stepped up recently in save situations.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
