6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) continues to demonstrate his toughness, leading the Niners backfield in Week 8 despite a lingering ankle injury. While questionable for Week 9, he’s nearly certain to suit up again. The upside is tantalizing, the Niners face a bottom-barrel Oakland Raiders run defense that just surrendered 222 rushing yards in Week 8. However, the risk is Breida suffering an in-game setback that limits his snaps and effectiveness (2.6 YPC in Week 8). Breida’s reluctance to rest his injury may impair his full-season value, but the inviting matchup makes him a useable RB3 option despite not being 100 percent.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
