Matt Breida Hoping To Re-Emerge
5 years agoDespite being healthy, San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida did not play a single snap in Week 16. He’ll look to resurface in Week 17 against a shaky Seattle Seahawks rush defense. Head coach Kyle Shanahan cited game flow and insisted Breida was not benched nor injured, but his volatile playing time makes him an extremely risky fantasy play. Since Raheem Mostert’s assumed control of the backfield, Breida’s averaged just over four touches per game. While he has the breakaway speed for chunk gains on any opportunity, Breida barely scratches the surface as a flex candidate.
