6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida currently leads the NFL in rushing yards, and will be looking to build on his impressive performance from a week ago. The second-year running back has carried the ball just 22 times, while averaging a remarkable 8.4 yards per carry. He should be able to rack up fantasy points in a hurry against a Kansas City defense that ranks 31st against opposing running backs. On the other hand, Breida has only accounted for 45 percent of San Francisco’s backfield touches and is yet to touch the ball more than 14 times this season. This makes his fantasy production and rushing totals that much more notable, but also lowers his floor and limits his upside on a week-to-week basis. Considering the matchup, Breida should be locked in as a RB2 for fantasy owners in Week 3.--Mike Dente
