Matt Breida Has Favorable Week 2 Matchup
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida averaged 4.2 yards per carry in Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Georgia Southern product handled 48 percent of the team’s backfield touches and will likely continue to share the workload with Alfred Morris. However, Breida looked like the more explosive runner and is the better receiver out of the backfield, making him the stronger PPR play for fantasy owners in Week 2. The Detroit Lions allowed 177 rushing yards and two touchdowns to Isaiah Crowell and Bilal Powell in Week 1, so Breida could be an underrated flex play for fantasy owners in Week 2.
