Matt Brash Earns Win In Second Start
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Matt Brash allowed two hits and a pair of earned runs in 5.1 innings on Sunday in his start against the Houston Astros. Brash struck out five batters, logged nine swinging strikes, and posted a 35% CSW rate, but he also walked six batters and allowed a home run. Overall, the right-hander has a 3.38 ERA, a 5.72 FIP, 11 strikeouts and seven walks in his first two starts spanning 10.2 innings. His next start will come on Saturday at home against the Kansas City Royals, a team that entered play this week with just 25 runs scored. Only two teams have scored fewer runs.
