Matt Barnes Takes Loss With Four-Run Outing
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Matt Barnes took the loss Tuesday, yielding four runs on two hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning against the Tampa Bay Rays. He struck out two batters. This was another rough one for Barnes, who's going through a tough stretch lately. He now has a 12.60 ERA over his last seven games and five innings with three saves and three losses. There may be some fatigue involved here, as Barnes has thrown in four games over his last four days. Fantasy managers should keep him rostered, as he's not in danger of losing his job, but could opt to bench him until he gets back on track.
