Matt Barkley Performs Well In First Start
6 years agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Matt Barkley led the team to a dominating win over the New York Jets on Sunday. Barkley is the Bills fourth quarterback this season and was replacing the injured Josh Allen and Derek Anderson. On Sunday he went 15-for-25 for 232 yards and two touchdowns. It’s also worth noting the Bills quarterback didn’t throw a single interception, which is a welcomed sign in Buffalo at this point. Barkley apparently found the winning formula, which appears to be to play a subpar defense and limit the targets to Kelvin Benjamin. Barkley is a feel good story, but we would expect Josh Allen to regain his starting role after the bye week. So, avoid the temptation of adding Barkley off the waivers.
