7 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Matt Andriese was named the starting pitcher for the upcoming second game of the Saturday doubleheader versus the Orioles. He has made 11 appearances this season but only one start. He has allowed only one run over the past 12 innings he has pitched, though that is stretched over six appearances. He does have 45 career starts, so he does have some prior experience. Andriese has not been anything special in the past so he should probably be avoided for daily on Saturday.--Jamie Mellor
