Matt Adams Out, Mark Reynolds Hitting Cleanup
6 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Mark Reynolds is in the starting lineup on Wednesday and will be batting cleanup against the Rays. Reynolds has cooled off over his last eight games, going 4-for-28 with six strikeouts, but he has homered twice in that span. While you can never count out Reynolds' power, it's probably best to avoid him on Wednesday, as he is hitting .161 with no home runs and a .555 OPS over his career against current Rays pitchers. Meanwhile, after hitting his 13th home run of the year on Tuesday, Matt Adams will sit against the Rays hodgepodge of bullpen arms.
