Matt Adams Missing From Saturday's Lineup
6 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Matt Adams was removed from yesterday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays after being hit on the hand by a pitch. Clearly, it is still bothering him as he is absent from Saturday's lineup as well. Adams is considered day-to-day. Daniel Murphy will start at first base in his absence. Adams, although very streaky, has been a pleasant surprise so far this season. He is carrying a .275 average to go along with 13 home runs and 36 RBI. He is a viable fantasy option at first base for managers in deeper leagues, although his playing time could be cut back whenever Ryan Zimmerman returns from the disabled list.
