Mason Miller Throws Seven No-Hit Innings
2 years agoOakland Athletics RHP prospect Mason Miller threw seven no-hit innings on 100 pitches against the Seattle Mariners. His slider was incredible on Tuesday. The pitch averaged 39 inches of horizontal break and nine inches of vertical break, resulting in a 60% whiff rate. Despite his herculean pitching performance, the Mariners would edge a 2-1 win over the Athletics. On the season, the 24-year-old now has a 3.52 ERA through three major-league starts. Miller will get very little run support from this terrible Athletics offense throughout the season, but his raw pitching talent will still yield some success in fantasy.
