Mason Miller Gives Up Two Runs In Rehab Appearance
1 year agoOakland Athletics rookie right-hander Mason Miller (elbow) made his second minor-league rehab appearance on Sunday with Single-A Stockton and allowed two earned runs on three hits (one homer) while walking one and striking out two in just 1 2/3 innings pitched. Miller will need at least one more rehab start to get his pitch count up before the A's consider reinstating him from the 60-day injured list for the stretch run in the final month of the season in September. The 24-year-old has been out since May 11 with a sprained right elbow. Miller looked solid in his first four major-league starts earlier this year, posting a 3.38 ERA (3.08 FIP), 0.98 WHIP, seven walks and 22 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings.
