Masahiro Tanaka To Wear Protective Cap
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka (head) said he'll wear a protective liner in his hat for Saturday's game against the Red Sox. Tanaka took a line drive off his head from the bat of teammate Giancarlo Stanton during an intrasquad game in summer camp, and will make his first start of the season after recovering from a concussion. The veteran said he finds the liner very comfortable and could hardly notice it was there. It's encouraging news that Tanaka will be comfortable on the mound after what could have been a very traumatizing event, but he'll have his hands full versus a good Red Sox offense Saturday.
