6 years agoNew York Yankees starter Masahiro Tanka tossed three innings of a simulated game Friday at the club’s spring training complex in Tampa, moving closer towards a return. The 29-year-old threw 48 pitches, facing minor leaguers and striking out four during the hitless outing. Most importantly, however, he reported no issues with his hamstrings, which he strained earlier this month at Citi Field. While the next step in the process remains unclear, a minor league rehab start seems most likely, with a return before the All-Star break very possible.--RDelgado
