Masahiro Tanaka Starting For Yankees Tuesday
Masahiro Tanaka (hamstrings) is set to return to the mound for the New York Yankees on Tuesday in Baltimore against the Orioles. The 29-year-old strained both of his hamstrings running out a sacrifice fly at Citi Field on June 8th. While he’s second on the Yankees in wins, Tanaka was not pitching well at the time of his injury, having posted a 4.78 ERA in his seven starts prior to the injury. Regardless, his record wasn’t affected, as he went 3-0 during the stretch, being carried by his offense. The Yankees will look for Tanaka to bring some stability to the pitching rotation which has lost multiple starters.
