5 years agoThe New York Yankees placed starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka on the paternity-leave list on Saturday and recalled reliever Nestor Cortes from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. Tanaka will miss his scheduled start against the Indians on the road on Sunday as a result, but he shouldn't miss any more turns after that. The Japanese right-hander has been solid for fantasy owners in 2019 with a 3.42 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 67 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings over his 13 starts. Look to get him back into your lineups the next time he toes the rubber for the Yankees next week. It's unknown who the Yanks will use in Tanaka's place on Sunday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
