Masahiro Tanaka Picks Up Quality Start
6 years agoWhile his offense didn't provide fireworks until the very end of the game, New York Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka was more than solid Tuesday night. Taking on the Seattle Mariners, the 30-year-old went 6 1/3 innings before a rain delay forced his exit at 95 pitches. Tanaka allowed two runs on five hits, walking two and striking out four. The game was evened up until the sixth, when he allowed a home run that put him in a hole. Eventually, however, his offense's comeback resulted in his no-decision. His record remains 2-3, while his ERA stands at 3.77, with his next start scheduled start for Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
