Marwin Gonzalez Gets Day Off On Friday
7 years agoThe Houston Astros will be opening a series in Arizona on Friday, and infielder Marwin Gonzalez did not crack the starting lineup. The utility man has started the past six games, so this just looks like a simple rest day as the team loses their designated hitter spot in a National League ballpark. After a breakout 2017 season, Gonzalez has been an inconsistent performer during 2018. He has tallied two home runs and 17 RBI so far and will continue to improve on his paltry .229 average. Gonzalez is still a valuable utility option solely due to his role in a loaded Astros lineup, and he has been hitting better over the past two weeks. Fantasy owners should remain patient.
