5 months agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. stayed involved in the offense in Sunday's 38-6 blowout win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11 after receiving a season-high seven touches in last week's loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. Mims caught both of his targets for 49 yards and his first touchdown of the year while also carrying the ball three times for a pickup of four yards. The 22-year-old, who also contributes on special teams in the return game, has given the surging Broncos offense a different dynamic the last two weeks, but his involvement hasn't been enough to really turn the heads of fantasy managers. That will especially be the case whenever Josh Reynolds (finger) returns from Injured Reserve. With quarterback Bo Nix spreading the ball around to a receiving corps that is suddenly ripe with options, Mims will continue to struggle to find weekly fantasy relevance.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. is one of the hottest wideouts in the league heading into a wild-card playoff matchup on Sunday in Orchard Park against the hosting Buffalo Bills. The Broncos made it a point to get Mims more involved in the offense late in the year, and it's really paid off, as the big-play second-year wideout caught all 13 of his targets for 154 yards and four touchdowns in the final two regular-season games. He has essentially become Denver's No. 2 behind target hog Courtland Sutton. Nobody is expecting Mims to score another two times against the Bills this weekend, but given his elevated usage in recent weeks, he's worth eyeing as a fantasy sleeper with WR2 upside against a Bills defense that allowed the most half-PPR points per game in the last five weeks. As nearly 10-point underdogs, the Broncos are expected to throw the ball plenty on Sunday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. is coming alive at the right time for the Broncos. The second-year wideout caught two touchdowns for the second straight week in the 38-0 blowout win over the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the Week 18 regular-season finale. Mims came down with all five of his targets for 51 yards to help the Broncos advance to the postseason for the first time since 2015. The 22-year-old scored the first TD of the day on a 32-yard reception and later added a seven-yard plunge in the third quarter. His five targets on the day were second to Courtland Sutton, and Mims has now had at least four targets in six straight games to close the season. Mims will head into a wild-card playoff matchup in Buffalo against the Bills as Denver's No. 2 wideout who relies mainly on big plays and yards-after-the-catch ability to deliver for fantasy managers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. is coming off by far the best game of his career in the Week 17 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in which he caught all eight of his targets for 103 yards and two touchdowns, including a miraculous jump-ball TD in the back of the end zone to send it to overtime. Mims will try to have another big game in Week 18 versus the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday to send the team to the playoffs. It will help his cause that the Chiefs defense will be resting several key players for the postseason, but the 22-year-old second-year wideout has been reliant on big plays down the field for most of his inconsistent production. Still, there's no denying Mims has been trending up of late, playing a season-high 47% of the snaps the last two games while scoring three times in the last five games. Mims is the WR20 in average half-PPR points the last five weeks (four games).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. reeled in all eight of his targets for 103 yards and two touchdowns in his team's 30-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He lost one yard on his lone carry and returned one kick for 27 yards. The second-year wideout was used primarily in the short area of the field, as six of his receptions went for nine yards or fewer. However, his 25- and 51-yard TD strikes would account for most of the damage done, with both tying the game in the fourth quarter. After an abysmal start to the season, Mims has seen his involvement in Denver's offense increase, compiling two 100-plus-yard outings over his last four appearances. The Oklahoma product will get a far stiffer test in the season's final week against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs.--Alex Ciulla
