Marvin Jones Will Be A Key On Monday
6 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones is a threat to opposing defenses, week in and week out. After posting his first career 1,000-yard receiving season in his second year with Detroit in 2017, Jones is again a prime target for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Jones is one of the best big-play threats in the league after averaging 18 yards per catch last season, good enough to lead the league. To open the year, Detroit faces a Jets defense that allowed 30 passing touchdowns a season ago. While Jones will likely draw either Trumaine Johnson or Morris Claiborne as his defender, Stafford should have no problems looking Jones’ way. Jones is at least a flex play in Week 1, and feel comfortable slotting him into your WR2 spot in standard formats.
