Marvin Jones Is A Decent Play On Sunday
6 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones is fourth on the team in targets and he only has eight receptions. However, he has 103 receiving yards and has found the endzone once. The Lions receiving corps is the only thing keeping the team competitive right now, and although Jones isn't the team's leading receiver, he has been drawing the top cornerback of opposing defenses. This week, the Lions host the Patriots and there is a real possibility of a shootout, as both defenses are in the bottom half of the league. While it would be wise of Jones' owners to pay attention to his Week 3 target share, it's safe to start Jones as a flex against the Patriots, with the expectations of high passing volume.
