Marvin Jones Draws Tough Matchup In Week 2
6 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones caught four of eight targets for 54 yards in Week1's bad loss to the Jets. The Lions were passing almost exclusively in the second half; however, Matthew Stafford was looking at Golden Tate and Kenny Golladay more, as they each totaled double-digit targets. While it's not like Jones was non-existent, a smaller target share in a prominent passing game script doesn't look good for the Lions' leading receiver from 2017. Then you add in that Jones will likely draw Richard Sherman in coverage this week, and it adds a few question marks to the matchup. Jones is in play if your league has two flex spots, but it's hard to consider him a must start this week.
