Martin Truex Jr. To Try To Make 13 Lucky
2 years agoMartin Truex Jr. tried to gamble late in the race at Las Vegas and ultimately faded, but he will look to bounce back at Phoenix Raceway, a track he has had mixed results at. In 2021, Truex dominated this track, finishing first and second in the two races. In 2022 in the new NextGen car, he did not fare so well in the No. 19 Toyota. He wrecked out in the spring race after completing 219 laps. In the fall race he improved, but not up to his standards after finishing 15th. Truex will come to the green flag from the 13th position and will look to move into the top 10, which is his average running position over the last six races here at Phoenix.
