Martin Truex Jr. qualifies poorly, not likely to contend.
4 years agoTruex Jr. will start 26th on Sunday at Daytona. The Daytona 500 has been a mixed bag for the driver. He nearly won the race in 2016 but has finished outside of the top-ten in every 500 since. More troublesome for most is the fact that Truex Jr. has crashed out the last two years. He has not been able to get into any kind of rhythm on the track or move up with any substantial push. It is not likely that this year will be any different for the New Jersey native.
