Martin Truex Jr. Looking For First Regular Season Title Since 2017
1 year agoOn Saturday night, Martin Truex Jr. of Joe Gibbs Racing will attempt to win his first regular season championship since 2017 when he starts 13th at the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Despite a solid performance in Friday's qualifying, Truex has never won at Daytona in 36 Cup starts, and has an average finish of just 21.3. Denny Hamlin challenges for the title with an average finish of 16.7 and three wins at the World Center of Racing. Nevertheless, Truex remains a strong play in DFS (two top tens in his last three summer races at Daytona) as he has eight appearances in the DK optimal lineup this season. With a starting position that offers some place differential, and only $8,700 on DraftKings, Truex Jr. could be one to watch.
